Your Rio Pitrisconi canyoning adventure
The adventure begins in the beautiful landscape of Monte Nieddu, where we prepare for the descent with wetsuits, helmets, harnesses and the necessary technical equipment.
After a short walk of approximately 300 metres along the river, we reach the beginning of the canyon.
And this is where the adventure really starts.
The granite gorge opens in front of us and an emerald natural pool awaits below. The first section introduces us to the canyon with a jump of approximately 3 metres followed by a fun natural waterslide.
Soon afterwards we reach one of the most spectacular sections of Rio Pitrisconi: a large waterfall and an approximately 18-metre rappel into the natural pool below.
Descending beside the waterfall is one of the highlights of the experience. Once at the bottom, we continue through the riverbed surrounded by granite walls, Mediterranean vegetation and ancient juniper trees.
The canyon leads us through natural pools, small drops and a spectacular granite waterslide before reaching another descent of approximately 12 metres into a beautiful pool.
Swimming, walking and progressing through the gorge, the landscape constantly changes as the canyon becomes narrower and then opens again between the granite walls.
Towards the end of the adventure we reach another large waterfall and natural pool, where those who wish can experience one of the final jumps of the route.
